Fernando Pisani

Well, it was announced today that Pisani has signed a contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. It seems that it is a 1 year deal, 1 way contract worth $500,000.

Good on him to find another team that can make use of his defensive ability. I am kind of disapointed that the Oilers didnt take the opportunity to sign him first. $500k is NOT alot to pay a guy that can solidify a 3rd line. A guy that would be the proverbial "good soldier" for the team, and a perfect fit to help phase in a guy like Cogliano to be the next defensive rock on the 3rd.

I'm not sure where Tambellini is heading in regards to building a compeditive team. Sure there is skill, but any good team needs to have balance in the lines and so far there is very little on the 10/11 Oilers.

Maybe Tambi has a plan, I hope so cause I find myself saying over and over that I dont know what it is....
